weekend journalist Susan called this morning and congratulated me on being famous. “You’re in The Wall Street Journal!” she said. I hadn’t seen it yet, so I had her read the quote to me, which is this sentence from my review of M:I3:
But that’s all I know about it. The WSJ charges for access to the story online, and the copy I bought on the way to work — the last one in the machine — was missing the Weekend Journal section, which apparently is where the article ran. I’m amused that the reporter — the alliterative Kate Kelly — asked me questions about long-running movies, to which I replied to ridiculous excess, and then just quoted my site, and not even any of my clever quips (which the email reply was full of, too). I’ve got no idea if she referenced my site; it’d sure be nice if she did. Susan is going to scan the article for me, so I’ll have a PDF for you at some point. Anybody else see this? Update: The reporter sent me a link to the story, which is here. (The link appears to be good for seven days.) Unfortunately, my quote isn’t online — it appears on the front page of the Weekend section, in a graphical lead-in to the story. Hard copy only. Damn empty newspaper box! Update 2: Found a copy in the office. The quote is on page W4 (Weekend section), in the graphic sidebar to the story. Update 3: Susan came through. Here is a scan of the story and my quote.
