D.: All cars, all cars, we have a 1014 in progress at 1623 East Ryland, that's one-six-two-three East Ryland.

A.: Copy that, Dispatch. This is Car A, proceeding northbound on 17th toward Ryland.

B.: Roger, Dispatch. I'm en route, two minutes tops.

C.: Dispatch, Dispatch, repeat that message, please.

D.: All cars, all cars, we have a 1014 in progress at one-six-two-three East Ryland. Please proceed with caution. Suspect is wearing a red T-shirt with a big white target on the front. He is also, apparently, waving a gun. Proceed with extreme caution.

B.: I have him, Dispatch. I got him.

A.: Second that, Dispatch. I'm approaching from the north.

B.: Area secured from the south. I'm now outside my vehicle pointing my gun at the suspect. Confirm appearance? Red shirt, white target.

D.: Car B, that is correct. Confirm that Car A is in position?

A.: This is Car A. Area secured from the north. We're out of our car with the suspect in our sights. He appears to be...dancing. Wait, he's shouting something.

D.: Can you report what the suspect is shouting?

B.: Seems like 'Don't shoot, I'm the good guy, don't shoot, the bad guy is inside, I just hurt him, this is his gun, don't hurt me.'

D.: Roger that. Proceed with extreme caution.

C.: This is Car C. We've arrived, area secured from the west. (crack)

B.: Oh, God. Shots fired, Dispatch. Shots fired.

D.: Can you confirm suspect is firing?

A.: No, shoot, oh, no, it was Car C. He shot the suspect.

D.: Car C, you were not supposed to shoot the suspect. This was a non-threatening situation.

C.: Hey, you said to proceed with extreme prejudice. I did.

D.: I said 'Proceed with extreme caution,' Car C. Cars A and B, can you confirm suspect's condition?

B.: It appears that the suspect is dead.

A.: Second that. Um, he doesn't quite have a face anymore.

D.: Car C, stand down and await the captain's arrival. He's en route.

C.: I did just what you said!

B.: Dispatch, bad news.

D.: What's that?

B.: Uh, well, Car A is in the house, and...

A.: Looks like the suspect was telling the truth. The bad guy is tied up inside.

B.: Car C shot the good guy.

D.: Oh, (censored).

C.: I had to, didn't I? He had a gun! He was going to kill us all!

D.: (censored).

B.: I refuse to work with this guy anymore.

C.: She said 'extreme prejudice!' You guys had to have heard that.

A.: Shut up, C.

C.: (crack)

B.: Oh, (censored)!

D.: What's going on, Car B? Car A?

B.: Car C just shot Car A! Oh --

C.: (crack)

D.: Car B? Car B? Car A? What's going on?

C.: Um. I think there's been an accident, Dispatch.

D.: Car B? Car A?

C.: Um. Apparently they're...dead, Dispatch.

D.: What happened?

C.: I think my gun went off.

D.: You shot the other officers?

C.: Wait! There's a woman coming out of the house now with her hands up. She looks like a survivor of the situation. She's crying. She's saying 'Don't shoot, I'm innocent.'

D.: Proceed with extreme --

C.: (crack)
