A few things that I'm guessing you don't know about me.

I am actually six feet tall, though when people ask, I add an inch to that so they'll think they must be taller than they thought, too.

It is my opinion that the two best films of the year 2000 were Almost Famous and Wonder Boys, and that I am either very smart or very stupid, because nobody else saw those movies.

I prefer driving not only in the rain in the dark, but in flash-flood weather in the dark on a road made of soft mud in a country I've never been to.

I am one of the lucky alumni of Channelview, Texas -- lucky in the respect that I got the hell out of there.

I attended Alice Johnson Junior High (web site poorly designed by my former computer class teacher) in Channelview; two of my classmates were the cheerleaders involved in the infamous attempted cheerleader murder scandal of the early '90s. My dad went to school with the mothers.

I once played drums in a band with no name that never played a single gig anywhere.

Last night I taught myself the openings to "Amber" and "I'll Be Here Awhile" by 311. I'm so proud.
