G.: You ever think about how maybe you're not living the life you're supposed to be living?

J.: How do you mean?

G.: Like when you're in high school and they give you a basic set of rules and tell you to write a paper, and they don't check along the way to make sure you're doing it right, so you don't know if you really pulled it off until you're given your grade. Sometimes I think about maybe how life's like that. Like we won't know if we blew it until we're done with it.

J.: I've never thought about it.

G.: Never?

J.: Never.

G.: Well, what keeps you up nights, then?

J.: Usually my neighbors.
